Petersen of this city who were recently married in Logan, received a telegram of congratulations, from Max Parman of New York City, a friend of Mr. and Mrs. Petersen. Bishop and Mrs. Osey Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Bert Gardner, Mrs. Christian Zinck, Mrs. Fred Hansen and sons Fred and Harry. Mrs. Sarah Fridal and Miss Pearl Johansen spent Wednesday evening at the girls home in Mantua. Mr. and Mrs. C. 0. Andersen and Mrs. two children of Bothwell, Augusta Iversen of this city attended the Andreason reunion at Lorin Farr Park, in Ogden, Friday. Earl Petersen returned home Tuesday after spending several days with relatives in Ogden. Saturday afternoon during a very! sever electric storm in Blacksmith Fork Canyon, Mrs. H. P. Thorsen of this city had the misfortune of having 14 head of sheep killed when lightning struck a tree under which they had gone for shelter. Mr. and Mrs. Kast Petersen and family were shopping in Brigham City, Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. M. P. Jensen and son Clifford, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Jensen and daughter Wanda and sons Roy and Vae. Packer, of Brigham City, who had gone up in the canyon, Saturday night to help arrange for the party the next day. A very short time before his death he was playing with his granddaughter, when he was seized with a heart attack. Mr. Packer has several relatives in Fielding and Wheelon. Relatives from Grace, Idaho, and other parts joined the Beaver Dam descendents of Joseph L. Bowen, in honoring his memory in a reunion at the Udy Hot Springs, Friday night After a program, swim and delicious luncheon, they motored to Logan and enjoyed a good play. Mr .and Mrs. R. A. Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Johnson, and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph A. Erickson of Beaver Dam, joined other Elders in a South Sea Islanders missionary reunion at one of the Logan Canyon camps, Sunday, August 17th, where a splendid program was rendered and refreshments served. ,Mrs. Dewey Swanger entertained at a party in compliment to her little daughter, LaRue's fourth birthday. Several children had a delightful time. Mr. and Mrs. J. A. Simmons and daughters, Lucy and Flora of Brigham City, had a delightful visit with their sister and aunt, Mrs. Hattie Kidman and family of Arco, Idaho. Miss Bessie Wach of Salt Lake and Mrs. Jennie Fryer and daughters of Deweyville, were calling on friends and relatives in Collinston and Beaver Dam Monday. Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Jensen, Mrs. LaGrand Jensen and Mrs. J. A. Bigler motored to Malad, Idaho, Monday where they had a delightful visit with Mrs. Julia Covert and family. Miss Asenath Covert of Malad was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. LaGrand Jensen, last week, where she was extensively entertained. The sons and their families joined their parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. A. Fryer in a delightful Sunday outing in Logan Canyon where they served a delicious birthday dinner in compliment to their father's 64th year. Mr. and Mrs. 0. A. Riley of Brigham City were the Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. E. E. Lefler, who with Mr .and Mrs. Odell Bigler accompanied them home where a very pleasant evening was spent.
