Low sodium, high potassium, and high fiber intake is credited for the happy results. Good sources of potassium are fruits and vegetables. Meat, fish, and eggs also contain plenty of potassium, but unfortunately they are also high in sodium. Teacher Profiles This year our school has a of 365 students with a teaching staff of fifteen. This is the largest enrollment and staff at the school in the twenty .years Principal Joseph has worked here. As this year progresses, we would like to feature the different grades in school and tell our patrons about the programs and staff members in each grade. Our kindergarten class has an enrollment of 59 children, 35 boys and 24 girls. Miss Elizabeth Holliday, the teacher, comes to Beaver from Ogden. She has taught 3rd grade in Huntsville, Utah for three years and is teaching her first year in kindergarten at Beaver. Miss Holliday's hobbies and interests include ceramics, gar- total enrollment dening, hiking, camping, swimming, tennis, ice skating, volleyball, and cooking. She really likes Beaver and thinks the people are friendly and helpful. She enjoys kindergarten very much. Her students seem eager to learn and are excited about school. Teaching kindergarten has been one of her goals since she took Child Development Classes at Weber State College. Some of her goals for the kindergarten children this year are: to recognize and print their own name, recogand be nize the numbers able to count up to 30. They will know these ten colors: red, yellow, blue, purple, green, orange, black, brown, gray and pink. They will know their address and phone number, the days of the week, and recognize capital and small letters, We left Heidelberg and headed for Switzerland. All along the route for hundreds of miles we have noticed that about half the crops had been laid flat by a terrific wind and rainstorm that had swept the country. One queer thing that we noticed was that all the fields were dotted with little wooden stands on which the hay was piled to dry. It looked like fields full of scarecrows. We were now getting into the mountains and going through Alpine meadows that resembled one vast golf course. About this time we ran into much excitement on the highway. vests Police in bullet-proo- f waving high powered rifles were stopping and searching all cars and busses. We found out that there had been a car wreck and 2 people had been killed. It turned out that they were the two most wanted criminals in Germany. They were guilty of killing many prominent people in Europe. The car was loaded with bombs, machine guns and other weapons. A man and woman had escaped from the wreck and the police were searching for them. Later on during our trip we learned that they had been captured. As we traveled on we noticed many small tracts of where the hay was being harvested by hand by both men and women. Earlier in the day we had traveled through the Hansel and Gretel landscape of the Black Forest. I found that the Black Forest is not just one forest but a series of forests through much of Germany. As we neared the Swiss border, we viewed an enormous bridge being built a chasm hundreds of feet deep. When completed basic shapes, calendar skills, and reading readiness will be taught. goals would be: students will be able to zip and button coats, tie and lace shoes.
