The Pattersons visited with Mrs. Merlin Patterson and family. Lynn is the High School coach in Roose- velt. Mr. Oscar Larsen of Mil-fowas in Beaver last week to attend the funeral services for his sister-in-laMrs. Cena Larsen. He spent the night with Mr. and Mrs. Sherman (Gar a) Carter. Mr. and Mrs. Howard (Margaret) Low of Salt Lake spent several days last week with Howard's father, Mr. and Mrs. Jim (Sadie) Low. Mrs. Erma Kirksiek was very happy to receive a beautiful vase with a lovely rose in it from her secret granddaughter. All the secret grandmothers wish to express their appreciation for the lovely thoughts that are expressed with the lovely gifts. Mrs. Lydia Patterson andScott Hollingshead of Salt Lake are visiting with Mrs. Faye Holllngshead. Lydia visited in Cedar City with her sister, Mrs. Nell Orton, who is in the hospital with a broken hip. Mrs. Seth Norris of Salt Lake visited last week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Karl (Jessie) Ward. Colleen was here to attend the wedding of her niece, Donna Smith to Curt Greenwood. After visiting a week with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Conrad (Jo Ann) Grlmshaw, Lesa has returned to Salt Lake to begin her internship at the Intermoun-tal- n Clinic. The family is very proud of Lesa's recent accomplishments. She graduated with very top honors in her class at Briman's School for medical assistants. Mrs. Erma Kirksiek spent 3 weeks in Salt Lake assisting her sister in law, Mrs. Lucille Hansen who is recuperating from a shattered hip that she received in a car accident last November. Erma spent an afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Jim (Emma) Burke and Mr. and Mrs. Walt (Kate) Joseph. Kate still loves Beaver and her many friends and is quite homesick. Jim Idol Jim Idol of Reno, Nevada died heart attack Monday, March 18, 1974. He was born February 13, 1913 in Beaver, Utah to Mr. and Mrs. Jack (Genera Patterson) Idol. He married Iris Blackner. They were divorced. He then married Anderson. They have Myrtle managed the Reno Rancho Motel for several years. Funeral services were held Wednesday (March 20) at 2 p.m. In Reno, Nevada. of a Nancy K DUP Camp The Nancy K Camp met at the home of May C. White for their March meeting. Captain Jessie Ward conducted. Prayer was given by May White. The members sang Fll be All Smiles Tonight and Sing We Praise of Valient Ones, accompanied by Ruth Wilden. Elaine Edwards presented the lesson on Eliza R. Snow and of the poetry and books she has had published. Ruth played "Oh My Father" on the piano, one of Eliza Snow's songs. Margery Mackrell read Hettle White's history, wliich she had written before her death. A lovely lunch was served by daughter May, assisted by her daughter, Clara Carter, to the eight members present. Phoebe Warby - Secretary on Llllie Lambson, Mrs. Betty Marshall, andMrs. Connie Marshall traveled to Richfield for the funeral services for Mrs. Amber Riddle. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph (June) Pearson went to Junction, Utah for the wedding of Mr. Greg and Miss Pearson Taunya Swartzmiller. Terry was born In Tooele on June 16, 1954, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted (Dorothy) Carter, Terry was a farmer, member of the LDS Church and graduate of Beaver High School. Survivors: parents of Minersville, brothers and sisters, Mrs. Evan (Marie) Millett of Cedar City, Ted, Kevin, Rick, Darlene, Sherle, and Lisa all of MinersPaternal grandparents, ville, Mr. and Mrs. Horace Carter of Minersville and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan M. Baudlno of Mllford. Services were held Monday, March 18 at 1:00 p.m, in the Minersville School. Bishop Earl Limb conducted the services. Prelude and postlude music was played by Debbie W illiams, A musical number was presented by a quartet. Wilden Carter delivered the invocation. Pamela McMullin gave the obituary, afterwhich, remarks were given by Dewight Carter. The classmates of the class of '72 sang a musical selection. Remarks were then given by Dan Goff, Dave Robinson sang "Green Green Grass of Home." Rex Carter gave the benedic- tion. The dedication of the grave was given by Newell Carter. Pall bearers were: Tom Marshall, Melvln Williams, Jack McMullin, Bryant Davis, Darrell Craw and Robert Craw. The Minersville Ward Relief Society is responsible for the flower arrangements. Interment took place in the Minersville Cemetery under the direction of Olpin Mortuary.
