According to President Ted Shan ah an, negotiations were completed In June for the purchase of Duke Manufacturing, a contract sportswear operation. Dale Stevenson will be responsible for the operation which will be known as the Wasatch Division of Farwest Garments. Beaver is situated in the Wasatch Mountains in Utah. Stevenson, who was formerly manager of a well known sleeping bag and downwear manufacturer, will have about 60 power machine operators, as well as a cutting department, making a total of A graduate of 70 employees. Brigham Young University, Stevenson is married with six children. He and his family currently live in St. George, Utah. Production In the new plant will be supervised by Betty Baldwin, and will concentrate on down filled garments for the Farwest label. Betty McCann will administer the office.
