When you are good to you are best to yourself. others We spent last weekend in Las Vegas with Mr. and Mrs. Jack (Darlene) Harris andf amlly. Sam went with us and left Tuesdayfor Los Angeles where he has been employed for the winter. Mr. and Mrs. Ben (Edna) Max-so- n are spending the Christmas Holidays in Southern California with relatives. Mr. LaMar Briggs and son, of Henderson, Nevada Kevin, spent last weekend with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Joe (Lovina) Briggs. Mr. and Mrs. Steven Smith who are attending school in Los Angeles stopped by to visit their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Edwin (Lydia) Smith. They were enroute to Orem to spend Christmas. Mr. and Mrs. Clyde (Bernice) Allgood left Tuesday for an extended visit to La Canada California and Los Angeles to visit their families, Dr. and Mrs. Terry Thompson and other rela- tives. Jerry and Deek Cox, Jr. of Orem stopped Sunday evening to say hello to us. They are employed on the new construction work in Iron County. Mrs. Evlyn Smith left last week to stay for a month with Mr. and Mrs. Jim (Bea) Smith and family and Mr. and Mrs. Neil (Barbara) Rhenstrom and family in Southern California, Mr. Arthur Leon Smith is home after spending ten days in the Beaver Valley Hospital with pneumonia. Mr. and Mrs. Mel (Alice) spent two days last week in Salt Lake with their son, Jack, and family and Mar jean and her family. They left Tuesday for Lynwood, California to spend the e) winter. Mr. and Mrs. David Heslington and family live Hes-lingt- on (Jo-len- there. Mr. and Mrs. Grant (Vilda) Esplin spent last week in Logan where Grant attended the Annual Extension Conference. Miriam Limb also attended the conference. Mary Ann Esplin , who is attending Ricks College met her parents in Logan and came home with them. They visited Carolyn in Provo. Mrs. Gertrude Eastonis spending the Christmas Holidays in Los Angeles with her niece, Eleanor Keelin, and family. Eleanor's brother, Jim Hickman, who lives in New York will fly to Los Angeles to spend Christmas with them. Mr. and Mrs. Alton (May) Atkin are having their children for Christmas, Mr. and Mrs. Gary (Rae) Atkin and family of Ely, Nevada and Mr. and Mrs. Ron (Janet) Bliss and family of Paro-wa-n. Mrs. Audrey Hutchings and Russell Hutchings were honored at a Birthday dinner recently by Debra and Melenda Hutchings. A delicious dinner was prepared and the rest of the evening was spent visiting. Eddie VIrdie of Akron, Ohio, a convert of MelvinB. Walkers who is attending school at the BYU, stopped at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bernard (Iva) Walker Saturday and enjoyed a visit and dinner with the family. He was enroute to Californis to spend Christmas with twoother companions. Eddie has fulfilled an LDS Mission to the Far East. Dale Yardley, son of the late Ira and Sar a Yardley has recieved his mission call to serve an LDS Mission to the Italy North Mission in Milan, Italy. He will leave January 22, 1972 for the mission home in Provo, Utah to learn the language. Mrs. Naomi Hughes of Salt Lake visited her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Cullen (Mary Ann) Williams, last week. She returned to attend a basket ball game of the high school where Mr. Hughes Is the coach. Naomi says she loves Salt Lake but says its nice to come to Beaver to visit her family and friends. Mrs. KarlaTattersall is home for the winter after visiting with i ft First Ward Christmas program was presented by the Relief Society ladies under the direction of Merlene Harris.
