John Farnsworth, who has ser ved a two year mission inus-tralireported on his mission at the Third Ward Sacrament meeting Sunday evening. All members of his family, except his brother, Dennis, were able to be present. Mrs. Rosalind Petersen of Springville left Wednesday to drive to Arlington, Virginia, to join her husband, Paul, who will be stationed there. Her mother, Mrs. F. Dennis Farnsworth, will accompany her to Virginia and spend three days sightseeing before flying home. Daylight Saving Time isn't new so we can stop complaining about it. Benjamin Franklin proposed Daylight Saving Time United States when he was Minister to France. Mrs. Carol Blake of St. George visited her parents, Mr and Mrs. Carl Dean last weekend. The Leon Deans were also here from Provo. t Mrs. DeMar Bowman of Cedar City spent the weekend in Beaver with her daughter and family, Mr. and Mrs. Grant Esplin. It was Mrs. Bowman's 79th birthday August 23rd and they celebrated it with her. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Carter were pleased to have Mr and Mrs. Phillip Rockwood and family of Ohio visit them and invite them to go to the Salt Lake Temple with them. Melvin Carter met the Rockwoods while on his mission and they were converted to the church. Initative is doing the right thing without being told. Mrs. Peggy Stapley took her son, Russell, to Salt Lake last Tuesday for a medical check. We hope his illness isn't serious and that he'll be feeling well again soon. Visitors at the Wallace Yard-le- y home were Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Hansen. They were to Bryan, Texas where they will make their home. Mr Hansen will teach in the business department at the University of Texas A & M Mrs. Jennie Myers and family of Oregon are visiting her mother, Mrs Peggy Stapley, and other family members, Last Tuesday some of our family had an enjoyable day when Mrs. Donna Morris, Bobby Morris, Gloria Murdock and twin daughters, Deborah and Denise, Blaine, Sam and I went to Payson to visit my mother, Mrs. Rebecca Orton and have a picture taken before Hal and Gloria left for Kentucky. The girls returned home while we took Sam to Salt Lake to catch a plane for New York. We stopped in Salt Lake to see Paul and Carma Anderson's cafe on State Street. Tuesday night we were in Sunset, Utah to visit my sister and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Allen (Ida) Faux. Wednesday, on our way home we visited in Fillmore with BlaTne's cousin Mrs Delia Paxton, and daughter, Margaret. Delia is also Warren Hutchings sister. Mr and Mrs Wafter Joseph returned last week from a two week visit in Santa Barbara, California with their daughter Dr Richard and (Margaret) Gillies. The Gillies are moving to Sacramento where Dick will be Dean of Student Personnel at Sacramento City College. The Josephs visited Kate's brother and family, Mr. and Mrs. Clark Robinson and were in Ontario, Calif, where they attended funeral h services for Kate's niece, Glleland. Walt was one of the speakers. Jeanne Yardley, who has been employed at Lund's store this summer, spent a week vacationing at Lake Tahoe before beginning her teaching in the Granite School Ditstrict this winter. Carol Walbeck of Salt Lake spent the weekend with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Howard (June) Walbeck and family. Mr. and Mrs. Hal Murdock and babies left Sunday for Kentucky, where Louisville, H3l will attend dental school. They will visit members of Hal's family in Pleasant Grove and Salt Lake on the way. The Wallace Yardleys spent Friday at Asay Creek visiting Elwynn and Nina Rue Olson, who were there with their children, fishing for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. William (Anona) Cavner of Manti were overnight guests at the home of Mrs. Emily Pulsipher a week ago, Sun. Mrs. Pulsipher returned with them and spent three days doing work in the Manti Temple. She visited one day in Richfield with Mrs. Hannah Colby before returning home, Saturday night Mrs. Alene Osborn went to Salt Lake with her son and family, Mr. and Mrs. Mel Osborn, where she will visit .her sister, Mrs Eva Starley. Mel is teaching school in Dugway this winter. Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy (Edith) Harris recently enjoyed a trip to Omaha to visit their sons, Ned and Ted, who are in the Air Force there. They enjoyed touring South Dakota where they saw Mt. Rushmore, the Badlands, the Black Hills and the spot where a marker is being built in honor of the Indian chief, Crazy Horse. We had Mr. and Mrs. Jack (Darlene) Harris and daughter, Shelley, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Fitzgerald and daughters, Nancy and Vickie of Las Vegas as weekend guests. They also visited the Bill Cox family, camped at Kents Lake and each family went home with their share of fish. Mrs. Donna Morris went to Cedar City to get Gilbert the Indian boy who lived with them last winter and attended school here. Several other families have Indian children living with them but we don't know who yet. Please report to me or the press and we will be happy to give their namea and with whom they are living. The Fred Hodges family had a real family get together when Mary Huntington of Las Gatos, Ruby Willesen of Redwood City, Erma Miller and Nettie Lowe of Sacramento, Lunetta Kirk of Milford, Josephine Littlefield, Lamar and Ray Hodges of Beaver, visited and toured, enjoying themselves for 10 days. It is the first time in 27 years the family have all been together. Young Bruce Sevy, who lives in Stockton. Calif., is playing a leading role in a full length musical production that he wrote himself. His grandmother is Ida O. Faux, supervisor of the cafeteria in Bldtf. 1102. Bruce is the son of Ida's oldest daughter, Gloria, and her husband, Laine E. Sevy. Bruce made his acting debut in the theater as a seventh grader when he played the title role in "Oliver!" He has also appeared in such productions as "Our Town," "Dinny and the Witches," "Teahouse of the August Moon," and "Roar of the Greasepaint." These have been productions of civic theater groups and high schools in the Stockton area.
