Powers Billye Edna Stroup Married in Arizona Saint Agnes Catholic Church in Phoenix, Arizona was the setting for the double ring cereBillye Edna mony uniting and John Robert Powers, ' Stroup Jr. in marriage May 30, 1969. The nuptial Mass was performed by the Rev. Thomas Hever. Alter boys at the ceremony were Roy and Steve Woj-a- k. The bride was attended by matron of honor. Mrs. Mordie Butler, Jr. Her bridesmaids were Miss Maureen Powers, sister of the groom, Glendale. Cal. and Mrs. Keith Conndn of Phoe Janet Guymon to Wed nix. Tammy Connin was flower girl and Master Harold Colville, Jr. 'was ring bearer. Mr. Mordie Butler, Jr was Best Man. Ushers were Howard Powers and Jim Lelt. The alter was decorated with candelabra and baskets of white carnd gladiolas and ations. The bride was escorted down the aisle by her brother, Larry Stroup. Her gown of ivory crepe was featuring an empire waist and scooped neck, line. The elbow length sleeves were trimmed with guiperre manlace. Her chapel-lengt- h tilla veil was edged with matching guiperre lace. The children of John F. and Joseph are holding an Open House in honor of their fiftieth Wedding nniversary on Saturday, June 28 from 2 until 4:30 p.m. at 1442 Cherrydale Drive in San Jose California. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph ware married June 11, 1919 in the Manti LDS Temple and lived in Beaver until 1948. Mr. Joseph was born January 31, 1883 in Adamsville. He taught school in Cedar City and Beaver for 42 years before retiring. He farmed, was Ward Clerk for several years and was on the City Council." Mrs. Joseph was born i n Burrville, Utah. She taught school prior to marriage and returned to BYU for additional credits, graduatng in 1952 at the age of 57. She has been attending Southern Utah State College for the past year and received a one-yeSecretarial Degree at the conclusion of this year. M. Gale is also a graduate of Beaver High School. For the past year he has been attending Sevier Valley Tech in Richfield in Utah, Office majoring ar Machines. The couple will make their home In Richfield until Mr. Gale's graduation. Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Bradshaw, Ms. and Mrs. Merrill Moody and families of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bradshaw, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Myers, Mr. and Mrs Glenn Blackner went to the St. George Tennple with Donald and San. dra. Mr. and Mrs. LaVar Cox and family of Henderson, Nevada are visiting Mr. ad Mrs. Jess Edwards. LaVar will go back in a week. The rest will stay for three weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Blackner and family of Salt Lake visited Ray and Ruth Bradshaw and attended the reception for Donald and Sandra. Mr. and Mrs. Gary Bradshaw went home Saturday. Grant and Mai Ling will stay and visit at the Norman Hutchings and La Vel Bradshaw homes. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Bradshaw and family were at Mr. and Mrs. LaVel Bradshaw's Sunday evening. Ronnie Roberts was released in the Sunday as assistant School and Dick Nowers was sustained to take his place. Gladys Smith was released as Secretary in the Relief Society and Hazle Barton was appointed to fill the position. Gladys has gone into the Stake Relief Society as Secretary. Mark Gale was sustained to be a priest in ithe Aaronic Priest hood. Buhrer of Milford, Utah, a sister of the bride, attended the gift table, assisted by her daughter, Debbie. The groom is the son of John R. Powers, Sr. and the late Mrs Powers of Phoenix. He is a grad uate of St. Marys High School and he attended Phoenix College. He is employed at Carnation Company. .
