Mr. Ritchie comes to Salt Lake City from Rock Springs, Wyoming, where he has been District Ranger for the Brid-ge- r National Forest since 1965. He also served as District Ranger on the Beaver Ranger District and other assignments on the Fishlake National Forest in Utah. Mr. Ritchie is a native of Heber, City, Utah. He attended Utah State University, graduating with a masters degree in range management in 1959. He is an active member of the Society of Range Management, American Institute of Biological Sciences American Forestry Association and the Lions Club. Mr. Ritchie and his wife, Elizabeth, will be moving to Salt Lake City with their six sons and one daughter. Dee R. Ritchie will be assigned as the Forest Service representative to thhe Great Basin Interdepartmental Planning Committee for river ba?in surveys. In his new position, he will be a member of the Unitsd States Department of Agriculture Field Party located in Salt Lake City, Utah. This party is part of the Inter- -' departmental Planning Committee for the entire Great Basin Drainage system. Mr. Ri'.chie will be responsible for all phases of this water and related land resource study as it affects National Forest System lands and forrst lands. Type I River Basin Studies, such as Trickery Is a refuge for this, provide resource data for those who lack the wit to bo long range planning of water honest.
