Those present were Mr. and Mrs. Bill (Irene) Cox and Mr. and Mrs. King Morris, Mike, Bobby and Larry Morris, Janet Marshall, Gilbert Bicenti, Hal Murdock, Mr. & Mrs. Blaine Cox and Sam. It was a farewell party for Sam as well as Mike and Bobby. He will leave Tuesday for New York. Mrs. Diane Bess and two children are visiting in Greenville with her parents, Mr. & Mrs. Morton (Lois) Smith. Lynn Orton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roy (Margaret) Barton is home on two week furlough before being sent to Vietnam. Wm. R. (Dick) Horton has accepted a position with Business Services of Salt Lake as vice president of marketing. Dick, Delores and daughters Linda, Barbara Beverly and Carolyn have been residing in Tigard, Oregon for the past two years where Dick was area supervisor with Wirathrop Laboratories, Inc. They plan to ba in Salt Lake in time for the coming school term. Dick is the son of Alf and Macel Horton. Delsres was the former Delores Merkly, daughter" of Mr. and Mrs. Aird Merkley, former Editor of the Beaver Press. By the way, we had a nice letter last week from BENNETT IS He is the only member of the Senate to serve on both the Finance Committee (that writes the tax laws) and the Banking and Currency Committee( that legislates monetary and gold policy). When the Republicans take control of the Senate he could have his choice of chairmanships of these or other committees. As Vice Chairman of the Senate Ethics Committee he brings a unique stature to himself and Utah. Wells Murdock and Annette Whetton were in Beaver last week. They were enroute to Provo where Annette will teach at BYU as well as take some classes to complete her masters degree. They will visit in Logan with Mr. and Mrs. Boyd (Kathryn) Hughes before Wells returns to Phoenix. Annette is the daughter of Betty Brooke Whetton, formerly of Beaver. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin (Lydia) Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Karl Whattcot were in Oak City ISaturday for the funeral of Mrs. Joshua Finlinson. Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Paice' have as their guests this week Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Olsen and family of Provo, Utah, and Mrs. Alice Anderson of Oak City. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Boyter and family of Ely, Nevada, spent a few days with Mr. & Mrs. George Boyter and Miss Retta Boyter. Mr. and Mrs. Loyal Baldwin have been .visiting with their children the past week in Provo, Ogden and Salt Lake. Kenneth and family, daughter Lillis and family and Charley and LaRue Smith. GREENVILLE WARD SACRAMENT MEETING Greenville Ward Sacrament meeting was held Sunday, September 1st, at 12:30 p.m. Prelude music was played by Becky Kesler. Music was directed by Ila Marie Murdock and accompanied by Becky. Ray Kesler of the bishopric was in charge of the meeting. Invocation was by King Morris. Babies blessed were Chad M., son of Cullen and Mary Ann Williarns, blessed by his grandfather, James Williams; Stanley Brent West, son of Terry and Glenys Cornett West, blessed by his uncle, King Morris.
