Show It BEAVER By Mildred Yardley Mr. and Mrs. Carl Ward accompanied by Kathleen Wa&-by- , made a trip to Ely to visit Mr and Mrs. Bill Ward and to see their new grandson. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Rollins spent the week-en- d in Salt Lake enjoying the Christmas display of trees and lights, especially those on Temple Square. Mr. and Mrs. Blake Smith returned home after a week in Phoenix and parts of Calif. Mr. Evan Walker was taken to the Valley View Medical Center with pneumonia. Mrs. Shirley Howard, daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Walter Mackerell has sold one of her poems to the Relief Society Magazine. It will appear in the March issue. Mr. and Mrs. Brent Smith are spending several days in Salt Lake this week. Mr. Sherman Carter accompanied Cal Carter to Midvale to attend the funeral of a cousin, Authnell (Art) Carter, who died of a heart attack. He was the son of Lester Carter and a brother of Barbara Smith, Lillian McKnight and Enid Johnson. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nowers in Kearns spent the week-en- d visiting Mr. and Mrs. Ed Nowers, Jr. and family. Mrs. Dorothy Pufer, onetime resident of Beaver, and Billy Ann, who daughter, have been living in Missouri have moved to Ely, Nev. She sees many Beaver friends there Mr. and Mrs. Paul Neilsen motored to Tropic to attend the basketball game before going on th St. George. Mrs. Sara Yardley met with a painful accident when she fell from a ladder and broke the bridge of her nose and Ckw.ihc blacked both eyes. Her son, Charles, was injured, in the eye, while working with some wire. Both of them required medical atention for their injuries.
