She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Alma Sly of Milford, and a grandson, Russell Melvin Sly who is in Adona, Turkey. Mrs. Edwards was formerly of London, England and came to America as a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at the age of 22. She married Moses Melvin Edwards who died August 19, 1965. Funeral Services were held for Mrs. Flora Edwards Thursday, May 27 at 1 p.m. in the First-Thir- d Ward Chapel with Bishop LaVel Bradshaw conducting. Prelude and postlude music was played by Margaret Ann Bradshaw. The invocation was by Robert Puffer. Nell Smith sang, "First Love Sweetest Love of All". She was accompanied by Clara Carter. This was a favorite song of Flora's and she sang it on many occasions. Violin solo by Linda Prince, "Lay My Head Beneath A Rose" accompanied by Mrs. Carter. Vivian Edwards sang, "I had Such A Pretty Dream", he was accompanied by his daughter Annette. Milo and Naomi Baker sang, "Perfect Day," accompanied by Clara Carter. Speakers were Bishop Cecil Edwards, of Milford, who spoke of the many accomplishments of Mrs. Edwards. She was a wonderful seamstress and loved for her sunny disposition. She made plans to go back to England, her home country, but was never able to do so. Howard Bradshaw paid tribute to the life and work of Mrs. Edwards. President Wallace D. Yardley spoke of the fine character of Mrs. Edwards. Bishop Bradshaw thanked the friends and relatives for their many kindnesses rendered on behalf of the family. The closing prayer was offered by Ray Bradshaw. The prayer at the Mortuary was given by Jess Edwards. Dedication of the grave was by Frank Pendleton. Flowers were taken care of by Mrs. Edwards nieces. Pallbearers were John Brad' shaw, Loyal Baldwin, Frank Beeson, Baker Edwards, Phillip Edwards and Rex Packard. Burial was at the Mountain View Cemetary. Members of the family and friends met at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jasper Puffer for refreshments after the funeral. Miller and Mrs. Margaret Lund. Clark L. Dunshee Dies In California of News has been received of Clark Lindsay Dunshee, a former resident of Beaver. He died in the Penni-scul- a Hospital in Burlingame, California on May 23, 19G5, after a short illness. He was the representative of the Hartford Insurance Co. in the eleven Western States with offices in San Francisco. Born In Salt Lake City Sept. 23, 1913, he was a son of Clark O. Dunhee and Mary (Mayme) Dunshee, He married Lou ell a Behupe on November 23, 1940. Clark was a Navel officer in World War II. Survivors include three sisters: Mrs. John A. (Alyce) of Fremont, Calif; Mrs. George A. (Mary Lee) Sauer, Campbell, California; and Mrs. Roy F. Brown (Barbara) of Santa Anna, California; also 4 nephews and 2 nieces. Funeral services and Military rites were held Wednesday, May 26. He was burled in the Golden Gate Cemetery, Burlingame California. Clark ftlended the schools in Beaver before moving to New Jersey with his family to make their home with an Uncle, Dan C. Lindsay. His mother, Mrs the death Wit-tingt- Beaver with Janet's parents, BY ESTA Mrs. Ray Bole received word Saturday of the death of her sister-in-laMrs. Charles (Buck) Weaver, from an heart attack. Many people in Beaver are acquainted with the Weavers. Our sympathy goes to Buck. Mrs. Lyddia Patterson of Salt Lake City, was in town last week to visit with Mr. and Mrs. Jack Hollingshead and family and to attend the funeral for Mrs. Flora Edwards. Roy Dalton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marsena Dalton, is home k on a furlough. He has been stationed at Fort Polk in Louisiana but will go to Fort Ord in California June 5th for special schooling. Visiting over the week-en- d with the Presley Whornhams, were Jeanne Whornham, Martha Louise Hurst and Howard Hurst, of Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. George Dewey Hurst of Pacific Grove, Calif.; Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Miller of Bountiful; and Mrs. Frank Farmer, also of Salt Lake. h The family motored to Sunday to decorate the grave of the brother, the late William Hurst, who was the Forest Hanger in Panguitch for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Dick Cox of Orem, Utah and Ronald and Donald Cox of Provo were over night guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Cox. Mrs. Sarah (Anderson) of Delta was in Beaver over the week-en- d visiting with her sister and family, Mrs. Ver-nic- e Orton. Mrs. Don Webb and daughter Reta and Ann of Delta were guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Carter. They were here to attend the graduation for Mary and Richard Carter. Mrs. Lucille Critser and Mrs. Betty Sauer and sons of Las Vegas 3pent Sunday and Monday visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Smith and family. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Hunt and family of Ely, Nevada, and Mr. and Mr?. Tom Holyoak of C dar City spent the week-en- d in Beaver with their mother, Mrs. Heber (May) Atkin. The Marshall family held a real reunion dinner in Miners-vill- e Saturday at the. home of Mr. and Mrs. Alton Marshall. Each family prepared food and served It, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Ashworth and family of Ely, Nevada; Mr. and Mrs. Craig Marshall and family of Spring-villUtah; Mr. and Mrs. Ron Bess and family of Parowan; and all other family members from Mincrsville and Beaver were there to enjoy the fine dinner and family two-wee- Pan-guitc- an e, Mayme Dunshee was County Re corder for many years. Blaine and I were real happy to receive an invitation to attend the wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. Richard (Rickiej Betenson in Salt Lake City on Wednesday, June 6th, at the Organ Loft, 3331 Edison St. Rickie is the son of Mrs. Garn (Buelah) Betenson and his bride is Miss Sandra Justice, daughter of Mrs. John Justice, of Salt Lake. The Betensons were Beaver residents for many years. Congratulations to the young couple. Mr. and Mrs. Ira Baldwin, Mrs Irene Cox and Mrs. Beth Dean were in Salt Lake last week to attend funeral services for an Aunt, Mrs. Elizabeth Miller. Mr. Jim W. Low spent several days in Salt Lake last week visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Bill Low and family and Mr. and Mrs. Howard Low and family. He also attended the funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Miller, a sister-in-laMr. and Mrs. King (Loree) Stevens and family of Ogden spent the Decoration week-en- d visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Smith and renewing old friendships. Here to attend the Graduation of their son, Gil Smith, who has spent the winter with his grandparents to attend BHS, were Mr. and Mrs. Warren Smith of Provo, and Gill's two sisters, Bobbie Gillies and Sharon Wadsworth. Mrs. Viola Paxton and sons Arthur and Arnold of Salt Lake were in Beaver for Decoration Day. Mr3. Doreen Sharp is a sister of Viola's. Mrs. Jeanne Moore of Las Vegas was in Beaver over the week-en- d visiting with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Swindlehurst. I had the pleasure of visiting with Bill and DiAnn Hickman, son to arrive in the near future. Have you noticed just how nice th3 yard of Mr. George Wilson looks. The credit for the clean-u- p job can be given to his son, Earl Wilson, of Las Vegas, who spent several days here working on the yard. Looks almost as thoueh it had been swept with a broom.
