Kindred, husband of Jane Ann Gunn Kindred, of Santa Barbara, California, formerly qf Beaver, departed last 12 nation week for a four-weescientific business trip to Europe and the Middle East. In Jerusalem, Israel, Mr. Kin. dred will attend two intrrnation al scientific and philosophy con gresses; the 1964 International Congress for Logic, Methodology and Philosophy of Science, Aug. 26 to Sept. 2, and the Inter-nationColloquim for Algebraic Linquistics and Automata Theory, Aug. 24 to 26. Both meetings will include the leading philosophers of science and logicians, physical and behavior scientists of the Iron Curtail as well as those from the Free World. Departing via transpolar flight from Los Angeles, Mr. Kindred will visit Copenhagen, Vienna, Istanbul, Athens, Rome, Paris, Brussels and London. While in the Middle East he will visit the historic sites of Palestine and Lebanon. Bradshaw, son of Mr. and Mrs. LaVel Bradshaw. The couple will be married in the St. George LDS Temple on September 4, 1964. A reception will honor the newly-wed- s that evening in the Beaver First-Thir- d Ward. The bride to be is a former citizen of Korea and met Mr. Bradshaw when he was serving an LDS Mission in her country. After completing his mission, Jim was called into the Army and because of his knowledge of the country and his ability to speak the language so fluently he was return? d to Korea for part of his Army service. Miss Chung was sponsored in this country by Jim's parents and has been residing with them while awaiting Jim's release by the Army. After their marriage the pair will live in Salt Lake where Jim plans to attend the University of Utah. student mathematics at the cf California, Santa Barbara, and a member of the research staff of General Electric (Technical Military Planning Operations) working on theory and application of electronic computing machines. Jane Ann will visit her brothers in Northern California and Beaver with her parents; and in Provo with her sister and family, and with Jerry's mother, Mrs. J. C. Smeath and family. She will return to her home in Santa Barbara to welcome her husband home on Sept. loth. in Greenville Mr. and Mrs. Dean Fordham and four children of Sunset, Utah, came Thursday and spent several days visiting Mrs. Nettie Fordham, the Ralph Ford-ham- s and the Vivian Edwards families. Dean helps manage the Meadow Gold Company at Keith Barton left for Salt Lake Saturday where he will attend a weeks school in connection with his job. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Dalton and three grand children, of Farowan visited the Keith Bartons the past week. Mr. and Mrs. King Morris motored to Ely, Nevada Friday and visited relatives and enjoyed the horse races. They came home Sunday. Mrs. Margaret Morris went with them to Lund, Nevada where she plans to visit her daughter Barbara for two weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Blackett and Bill Barton, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Barton, visited in Provo with relatives the past week. University Betty Barton of Fillmore Is visiting a few days here with Mrs. Alice Barton and the Roy Barton family. Mr. and Mrs. Mitchell Stod- dard and family of Tremonton visited the past week with Mr. and Mrs. J. W, Blackner. Albrecht was the speaker at Sacrament meeting here Sunday. The Stake Presidency also visited with the Ward and President Yardley spoke. The Third Ward Sacrament was a farewell testimonial in honor of Elder Melvin Bernard Walker, prior to his departure for the Brazilian Mission.
