PEARL THOMPSON was hostess for the Beaver Book Club at her home Wednesday evening. A very interesting report on the country of Israel was given by Ar-vil- la Swindlchurst. Mrs. Martha Murdock of Washington, D. C. was a special guest. Members present were Anna Stark, Sara Bakes, Alta t, Hickman, Vie Davis, Donna Flora Vie Fotheringham, Lee, and Berniece Thompson. Cart-wrigh- MISS VICKIE BEAUMONT was the guest of honor at a bridal show er given by friends at the home of Allie Muir recently. Assisting as hostesses were Janet Atkin, Joyce Joseph, Alice White, and Hazel Forty-tw- o Parkinson. classmates, friends, and relatives were present to enjoy the party. Games were played with prizes given, and a delicious lunch was served. The bride-to-b- e received many lovely gifts. THE BETTER HOMES Club met Mrs. Kate Willden Wednesday evening with the program under the direction of Mildred Yardley. Special guests were Bishop and Mrs. Walter Kerksiek, who entertained the members with films of their trip to New York last summer. A plate luncheon was served to the 20 present. at the home of MARRIAGES SOLEMNIZED IN ST. GEORGE TEMPLE Two young married couples had their marriages solemnized in the St. George L D S Temple Wednesday, May 20. They were Mr. and Mrs. J. D. Osborn, Beaver, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim Cox, former Beaver residents now living in Delta. The Osborns were happy to have their four children sealed to them and the Coxes their two. SECTION 4. That all roads, highways, alleys, lanes and public places that may be opened by the grantee for the aforesaid purposes shall be filled in and put in as good repair as they were prior to the opening thereof and so as to present the least possible obstruction and inconvenience of the travelling public. SECTION 5. That said county shall in no way be liable or responsible for any accident or damage that may occur in the construction, operation or maintenance by the grantee of its pipelines and appurtenances hereunder, and the acceptance of this franchise shall be deemed an agreement on the part of said grantee, its successors and assigns to indemnify said county and hold it harmless against any and all liability, loss, cost, damage or expense which may accrue to said county by reason of any neglect, default, oi misconduct of the grantee in the construction, operation or maintenance of said pipe lines and appurtenances. SECTION 6. That said grantee shall, within sixty (60) days after the passage of this Ordinance, accept in writing, duly filed with the County Clerk of Beaver County, this franchise and the grants and privileges herein given, together with the conditions upon said granted binding. SECTION 7. This Ordinance shall take effect on the 5th day of June, 1959, which date is not less than fifteen days after the passage of said Ordinance.
