For the first time in the history of the town, there are more than 600 telephones listed in the' directory and, for the first time, homes and businesses have a definite address, with house and street numbers listed in the directory. The listing of house and street numbers in the new directories is the climax of several years of planning and work by Beaver Lions Qlub members. The project of the street numbering and marking was first undertaken and completed, which was followed last summer (by the numbering of all the homes. After this project was finished, the telephone company required several months to make all the changes necessary to list the addresses. There are a few houses in town s without numbers and a few or occupiers have not paid for their numbers yet, the Lions Committee stated. Any who have not received a house number or who have not paid may come to The Press office. 102 (UTAH) PRESS, FJtlDAY, JUNE 25, 1954 PARADE AND Welcome Signs Greet Hopes for Uranium- - PROGRAM SET Visitors to City; Producing Mine Spurs Beaver Prospecting Degrees, June 23 FOR JULY 5 Road Signs Installed Plans for the annual Fourth of Installation will be completed The uranium prospecting In this July parade, program, and sports, this week-en- d of two beautiful area received an additional "shot were being completed this week by welcome signs to be located on the in the arm" this week when Salt the American Legion Auxiliary, it north and south entrances to the Lake brokers, accompanied by law was announced by Mrs. Helen J.
