On Saturday, Bill T. Brook arrived from Los Angeles and will visit here during the holidays. Sunday, Mrs. John F. Whet-teMiss Katherlne and Miss Mary Ellen Brooke, all of Ogden, arrived and visited until Wednesday. Jack Murdock, who was Just recently discharged frdm he service was also home for the reunion. 0 n, Li Better Homes Club Xmas Party The Christmas party of the Bet ter Homes Club was held at the home of Mrs. Maurlne Gale on Dec. 20. Bible quotations were read by Mrs. Kathryn Schneppel and then the group joined in singing appropriate hymns based on these quotations, all applicable to Christmas and the New Year, and including Christmas carols. The Christmas tree was attractively decorated and gifts were taken off the tree and passed to the group. A tasty lunch was served to the fourteen present. Pack up your troubles in your old kit bag and board the magic carpet for the Laad of Better Days. ANNABELL'S ANNABELL HALES, Owner Club Entertains Husbands A well planned party was the one Wednesday evening at the Low Cafe when the members of the' Beaver Literary club entertained in honor of their husbands. A banquet was served first with Mrs. Taylor Farnsworth as and the program was as follows: community singing, led by Mrs. Elton Mackerell; poems, George C. Miller, Mrs. J. Wilford Robinson; vocal duet, Mrs. Elton Mackerell and Mrs. Ross Smith; original poems, "Husbands at Christmas Time," Mrs. Ernest Jo seph, .Mrs. Milo Baker; response, "Wives Going to Club," Dr. E. 6. male quartet, Milo McQuarrie; Baker, S. Taylor Farnsworth, Mr. Miller and Horace H. Rose; ladies chorus under the direction of Mrs. V. Dennis White. The table was decorated with pine cones, cedar berries and red candles.
