Mrs. Iona Blair and two children of Salt Lake City arrived here last week to spend some time with their parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Christensen. Mrs. Louise Clyde and children of Springville are here spending two weeks with parents and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hans Christensen at their home at North-cree- k. Supt. S. Melvin Wittwer returned home last week after spend-tw- o weeks in Salt Lake City on business and visiting relatives and friends. Miss Bonnie remained for a longer visit. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Mathews and son of Cedar City spent Sunday with relatives and friends and attending to some business connected with their Beaver home. While in town they called on Mrs. Hattie Ashworth. Mrs. Lucille Williams and son Gordon of Washington, D.C.. arrived here Friday of last week to upend the summer with their mother and grandmother, Mrs. Alice Huntington and Dorothy Williams and famines. Tom Holyoak made a business trip to Salt Lake City Monday. He was accompanied by C. Dennis White, who went for a treatment on his eye at the St. Marks hospital. They returned home Wednesday. Lt. and Mrs. Ray Bohn are the proud parents of a baby son born Thursday, June 28 in the Iron County hospital. Mother and baby are doing nicely and awaiting the arrival of the lieutenant from overseas. Pvt. Bill Price returned to the Bushnell hospital at Brigham City after spending six weeks with his little daughters and other relatives. Pvt. While here they visited their sister, Elisabeth Fotherlngham, who has been ill the past month, and their only aunt, Martha Williams. They returned home Friday evening. The Utah State Frozen Foods Locker association convention was held Sunday at the Newhouse Hotel In Salt Lake City, and was attended by Mr. and Mrs. Earl T. Smith, owners of the Smith's Frozen Food Lockers at Beaver. Mrs. Smith went to Salt Lake on June 20, accompanied by her niece. A HULSE BOUND OVER her lunch r was served to eleven-year-ol- twenty-fou- TO STAND MURDER TRIAL AT CEDAR CITY CEDAR CITY John Hulse was ordered to be held without bail for trial in Fifth District Court on a murder charge following preliminary hearing In Justice Alex H. Rollo's court Saturday afternoon. Mr. Hulse is alleged to have beaten Edward D. Hamblin on the night of June 2, which resulted in his death on June 4. It is alleged Hulse also beat Cecil Starr at the same time. County Atty. Durham Morris conducted the hearing for the state. Mr. Hulse was not represented by an attorney. Witnesses called at the preliminary hearing included Preston Wood, deputy city marshal, who related the story of the beating as allegedly told by Hulse the night of the beating. LaMar Hamblin, son of Edward Hamblin, was also called and related taking his father home after the beating. Dr. A. L. Garff, final witness, testified as to the condition of Mr. Ham blin when he was examined at the Iron County Hospital.
