M. in the Milfosd L. D. S. Chapel for Allen Tanner, who was drouued in the Colorado River just below Meads Lake. After sevreal days searching the body was found and it was brought to Milford for burial. Those going over for the services from Beaver were: Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Tanner, Mrs. Ila Faux, DeLoy Tanner, Mrs. Mary F. McQueen and chil- dren of Salt Lake City, are spending a few days at the ihome of her mower Julia K. Griffiths. Mrs. Martha Watters is visiting at Salt Lake City. Mrs. Moreen Muir and children and Mrs. William Muir motored over to Elsinore last Monday and spent a week visiting at the home of Mrs. Muir's mother, Mrs. Mary Anderson. While ther the Richfield Kowthey took Karnival and race meet. Kounty Tuesday they saw the big parade. Everything went of with colore and they had a very flying good time. They returned home Friday. WORK OX OGDKX MIMTIOXS PLANT TO START AT OXCK OGDEX, Utah Date when actual operations will be started at a $i,U00,ooo 37 millimeter shell loading plant at Ogden depot neared Saturday as electricity was turned into a new government transformer substation at the plant, and from there flowed into about 100 completed factory buildings. Under supervision of members of the constructing quatermaster-- s staff, 4 4,000 volts of electritity were turned into the new substation last week. The station is located beside the Davis and Weber counties canal in the northeast Part of the shell plant area. After completion of the power connections to the substation, constructing quartermaster's officers threw the switch which the electric power through underground ducts to the scores of factory structures. Shell making machinery is now being installed in the completed structures. The. substation is connected directly with the Riverdale plant of the Utah Power and Light Company, from which electricity will be obtained for the. plant's operation. Standby service is also available from the power company's transmission line extnding from Ogden to Salt Lake City in the vicinity of the Mountain highway. More than loo buildings have been completed under direction of the constructing qtiatermaster, and 70 other buildings are now be ing added to increase the plant's capacity.
