The 14 BEAVER RECEIVES LONG NEEDED RAIN PROJECT HERE The long dry spell which has prevailed over Beaver for the last two months was brought to an end last Sunday when we were greeted with a beautiful shower. The rain began to fall about noon and continued at different intervals during the later part of the day and several days following, filling the ground with a good supply of moisture. The ladies of Beaver County are. to have the opportunity of attending a two days free canning project and demonstration to be held in tlie West Ward Relief Society kitchen Monday and Tuesday Aug 12th and 13th from 2 to 4 each day. This demonstration will be given under the direction of Mrs. Ethel M. Pope, noted home economist and under the sponsorship of the Ball and Kerr Mason Jar Company. This company has been the manufacture of canning supplies for many years and in addition to their business are conducting large research and experimental kitchens in various parts of the United States to keep their staff supplied with the latest methods of bottling and preserving, fruit, vegetables and meats. Band Master To Take Vacation After a very successful and encouraging summer spent with the Summer Band in our community Professor Cannon Thomson and his lovely wife and son will leave Monday morning for a months vacation. They will proceed first to Ephrium to visit his parents where they will stay for a short time. They will visit in Salt. Lake City and latter will tour southwestern Idaho spending most of their time around Burley. AG CLUB TAKES CANYON TRIP The Agricultural Club of the Beaver High School returned afternoon from a Wednesday in the three day encampment Beaver Mountains. According to Lloyd R.
