Four teachers, Alice Delling, Seferina (Sally) Mary Pizza and Herman Nava, were also honored for outstanding teaching qualities and the personal interest they take in each student. The project was conducted statewide under the supervision of Mrs. Norman D. Larsen, State Education Chairman for the Utah Federation of Women's Clubs because "every teacher touches the lives of tomorrow's leaders." Alice Delling is presently a third grade teacher at Durrant Elementary School in Price.
