Helper Merc scored twice in the sixth inning to knot the score at and force the game into extra innings. Johnny Bor-lscored the winning run in the top of the seventh after having lived on an infield error. Borla pitched the last five innings for the winners and held Helper Furn to one run on two hits. Dave Babcock hit a home run in the fourth for the Merc and Mark Martinez had a three run homer in the first inning for Helper Furn. After Helper Merc scored in the seventh Helper Furn threatened in their half of the fame by loading the bases with one out. Dave Babcock grabbed a pop-uby Mar to catch an errant tinez and stepped on first base off base to end the game. For Kiwanis it was Bob Fox and Frank Marreli who again raced the first half champs. Both hit home runs, Fox had two singles also and Marrelli had a double. Fox pitched the full game, giving up single runs in the fourth and sixth.
