Mrs. Mira Robertson has gone to Salt Lake City where she expects to enter the hospital for a major operation. Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Peterson visited Sunday in Castle Dale with Merlin's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James E. Peterson Mrs. Frank Bendetti entertained the fifth grade students at a birthday party, Tuesday, in honor of her daughter, Joyce. Games were played, and many lovely gifts were received by the honored guest. Mrs. Robert Wayman and son Bert visited last week with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Snyder. A family birthday dinner was served Saturday evening honoring .the birthday of John Wharff. Mr. and Mrs. Wendell Wharff and children, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wharff and Mr. and Mrs. Ben Wharff of Helper, and Mr. Hyrum Thyger-so- n were present to enjoy the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Hopkins from Dragerton, visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. George Zorn. Two of our young couples are moving from our community Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Broadbent are moving to Price and Mr. and Mrs. Angelo Perri are moving to Helper. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Stavar visited Sunday in Columbia with John Tomsic. Mr. and Mrs. A. C. Hansen and Nels Hansen of Emery, visited Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hansen. Club met The Sewing-Eigh- t Thursday at the home of Mrs. Mary Ellen Davis. The meeting was conducted by Arlene Davis. Ronna Haycock led the group in singing. Juanita Kes gave a talk Summer and "Vaccination on Health Program." The Pledge was led by Judy Hansen. The girls continued their practice darning after which Mrs. Davis served refreshments. Mr. and Mrs. Tony Kokal Sr. drove to Dragerton Sunday to extend good wishes to Mrs. Frank Sunter on her birthday. Mr and Mrs. James Cochrane SCHOOL NEWS SPRING GLEN Under the direction of Ower Burgener, music teacher, a very beautiful operetta was given by the Spring Glen stu- dents- "Tulip Time", an operetta in Dutch song and dance numbers was prepared and well received by an appreciative audience.
