The Provo High School Orches tra has grown rapidly since 1935 when it included a few violins, one cello, a piano, and a few wind instruments. In that year, Mr. John Hilgendorff began his instructional program at the high school. Now there are sixty-tw- o mem bers in the high school orchestra which is rated as one of the top organizations in the state. In 1947 33 of its members participated in the high school orchestra in Salt Lake City. Later the orchestra took a five-da- y tour of southern Utah during which time it presented 15 concerts.
