Her shoulders are no ibroader than yours or mine. Tuesday, September 27 Sterling K. Peterson, Field Representative of the Provo office of the Social Security Administration, will be in Price at the Court House from 9:00 a.m. untl 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 27. 1949, to conduct the business of e and Surthe Bureau of vivors Insurance, Mr. Peterson observed that a large section of the public thinks of Social Security solely in terms of retirement benefits payable at age 65, whereas over 41 per cent of all monthly benefits paid under the plan go to the survivors of deceased workers. In the event of of an insured death worker, monthly benefits are paid first to the widow and children under 18 years of age. I no widow nor minor child survives, the monthly 'benefits are paid to dependent parents over age 65. If the deceased left no widow, minor children nor dependent parents over 6", a lump sum Is paid to the party that pays the burial expenses. Mr. Peterson explains that the only sure way of knowing whether or not the deceased was Insured under Social Security is for the survivors to check with the Social Security office. This should be done in all cases where the deceased had a Social Security card. Old-Ag- BilBE HELPER SEPT.
