Although anyone interested in any changes or criticisms of th amended or new budget were invited to attend the meeting, no one presented themselves. The amended budget was for an increase of $25,.'36 over and above the budget originally adopted for the 1946-4- 7 school year. The adoption accepted an increase from $797,014 to $822,550 with the total increase divided among the individual apportionments. The increase was made necessary because of additional wages and salaries paid teachers and other employees of the district in addition to greater expenditures than were anticipated. The additional funds are being derived from a greater carry-ovfrom the year previous than was expected and miscellaneous revenues that were not antici- mainder er pated. The budget accepted for next year calls for an expenditure of $952,761, an increase of $130,211 over the amended budget for this year. MARRIAGE PERMITS According to B. H.
