LIMI! SWE RN A TH6- - ASSOCEAT33M SAFETY ON HELPER'S STREETS A number of Helper's citizens are wondering just what action if any has been taken to install a traffic light on the intersection o Janet an,j main streets. If the safety conscious citizen has investigated and considered the hazardous situation that exluts at this particular street location, they can only have formed this conclusion, that the city is fortunate no serious accident has occurred, and will remain fortunate if none does occur. Information has reached the office of the Journal that the installation of a Hignal light has been assured the city by the Utah State Highway Commission. An old adage, ''An ounce of prevention is better than pounds of cure," is .without doubt, a proven bit of sound philosophy. In the case of safety on the streets of our city, we have indeed ueen fortunate, but, the question is asked, how long will we be able to boast this record? It is the duty and right of every citizen of this or any other community to demand of our officials that they be furnished police, fire and safety protection. Helper needs this safety precaution on the suggested main street intersection as well as other congested intersections. It's your job to work for the safe preservation of our citizens. Helper needs a more uniform and stricter traffic project. By Mugs Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Thomas returned from Salt Lake lat week. Mr. Thomas has been in the St. Marks hospital.
