Miss Milano bled to death from a badly gashed shoulder. The unfortunate young woman was riding to Grand Junction, Colo., with Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Wilson, also of Carbonvllle, and their four children, where the party was to attend the funeral of a relative of the Wilsons. Sheriff J. B, Skedes of Moab arrested the driver of the truck, later releasing him under bonds of $1000, pending probable filing of charges, according to the report of Art Heavener and Vernon Davis, state patrolmen, who are investigating the accident. Mr. and Mrs. Wrilson suffered minor cuts and bruises. Miss Milano was long a resident of Carbonville and leaves to mourn her passing her mother and the following brothers and sisters: John and Lee Milano, Mrs. Kate Martina, Mrs. Mary Alice, Mrs. Pose Warren and Mrs. Nilla Leonard. Funeral services were conducted Wednesday at Notre Dame Car-bonvll- le side-swip- The band contested in C division, composed of smaller high schools and received the only superior rating in the division. The next nearest was a C rating, good. Joseph DeLuca, contest judge, stated Helper school band would have received an "excellent" rating in any division. Signally Honored Besides the rating made by the band they were treated royally by the people of Grand Junction and received the distinction of being the only band invited to play in public concert. They gave a concert on the main street and were loudly applauded by several thousand auditors. The band broadcast from St. Regis ballroom over the Grand Junction radio station. .The trip was made possible by the generosity of Helper business men and citizens, and the school desires to extend their appreciation to the community, the Kiwan-1- s club, the business and professional men and the city authorities for the excellent support they have given the school band.
