In 1932 the Federal Reserve Banks were empowered by law to make direct loans to individuals in unusual circumstances when they had been unable to obtain loans from a commercial bank, he pointed out. From the middle ot 1932 to the end of 1933 there were 1.2S6 applicants for loans at the New York Federal Reserve Bank under this law. The great majority of these applications proved on examination to be for funds for capital purposes, which are properly supplied as an investment in the business, or else were mortgage loans or others unclassifiabl as commercial. the Manti forest expects to get this year. They left Fairview at 6:30 A. M. and after an trip on the "webs," returned. The canyon road was passable for auto to a point .6 of a mile above the forest boundary sign. The snow at the Beaver Dams was 4 feet deep. The fence around the Beaver lodge was completely covered. Moisture Conditions On March 1, the snow supply on the mountains east of Ephriam was perhaps average both in depth of snow and in water content. At this time, March 26, indications are that there will be a real shortage when measurements are taken on April 1. Grazing Fees The cattle permittees of Spring City and Chester are completely paid up for their grazing fees for 1933. This is the first association on the Manti to be completely paid up. A number of other associa tions are paid with the exception of a few delinquents. TOWARD NORMAL Reconstruction Finance Loan Repayments Lead ProBanks Show in cession Recovery Cor-porti- Co. S.
