Efforts will be directed to alleviate the needs of the county poor for the next four months, rather than for to attempt relief measures the entire ensuing twelve month period, which the 110,000 sum was designated to cover. A suggested donation classification of the business houses and professional workers and wage earners has been drawn up by the executive committee, however, where donations of money are impracticable, clothing and foodstuffs are sought. The biggest problem which confronts the Relief committee, Mr. Pettlt declares. Is the need of finding or creating Jobs for the workless. A schedule of relaying the groups of workmen employed Is on the Scofield road project affording employment to many However, at the present time a waiting list of 178 applicants are seeking work, and the project will be complete before the majority of these can be given their turn at labor.
