First ward Relief Society presidency entertained 25 members Tuesday afternoon at their an· nual Christmas party. The Miller Rasmussen family met Monday evening at the home of Mr & Mrs Milo Rasmussen for a Christmas get-together. Mr & Mrs Alvin McGuire are the proud parents of a baby boy born recently. Ray Andrus, son of Benjamin W Andrus, returned Wednesday alter a week's trip to Hawaii with the U of U football team, which won their game at the Pineapple bowl. Mr & Mrs Merrill Hand announce the engagement of their daugbter, Delplta, to Ray Andrus. Monday evening tbe Salt Lake County Young Farmers, under the cliredfon of Paul Boyce, enjoyed a banquet at the Crescent school, with county president, Homer Jaynes, Jr., as master of cere- monies. Crescent Primary officers prepared and served the dinner. On the program was 0 D Ballard, guest speaker, Mr Downs, state re· presentative, and Rulon Beclt, assistant county agent. American Legion Post 85 entertained their wives at a Christmas party Thursday evening at the firemen's hall for the annual Xmas party. 1Ir & Mrs Brad Gardner of Logan spent Christmas week visiting at the home of their parents, Mr & Mrs George Whetman. The B F Andrus family enjoyed a Christmas party at the B W Andrus home Saturday evening. Out of town guests were Mr & Mrs D Andrus and family of Salt Lake. Mr Jimes, manager of the local theatre, treated the kiddies to a free show Saturday afternoon and again Tuesday evening. Hr & Mrs Jim Gillispie of Salt Lake were dinner guests Friday evening of Mr & Mrs G Rasmussen. J\.1rs Hudson Denney and sons met with an accident Saturday evening at 6400 South 7th East while eru·oute to a Christmas party in Salt Lake. The vehicle she was driving went out of control and side-swiped a utility pole and rolled over several times. Michael Denney received a broken collar bone and cuts about the mouth. Mrs Denney received many con· tusions. Gary was uninjured. They are recovering at home. Parker Nielson, son of Mr & Mrs Niels Nielson, was injured in a car wreck Thursday evening and is slowly recovering at a Salt Lake hospital. Mr & Mrs B F Andrus are proud to announce the birth of a grand· son to Mr & Jllrs Howard Andrus of Provo Dec. 20. The Lilly Brown family was entertained at a Christmas party on Monday at the home of Mr & Mrs Rulen Hill of Payson. Mrs F L Gordan entertained the Relief Society visiting teachers at her home Friday. Draper First ward MIA Special Interest group was entertained at the borne of ll!r & Mrs Aden Stay Tuesday evening. Refreshments were enjoyed by about 30. Mr & Mrs Frank Andrus were dinner guests Saturday evening at the home of llr & Mrs Ralph Farrer in Salt Lake. Draper First ward Sunday school sponsored a Christmas program Sunday morning. A fine program was also given in the evening. Mrs Annie Enniss gave the story of Christmas and Patriarch Crozier Kimball was the main speaker.
