Carol Jean Thornton of East Midvale, became the bride of Lt (j g) Alma H Jewke!;, of Castledale Utah, in San Francisco, TueSday. Carol Jean is a daughter of Mr & Mrs C W Thornton, and is a freshman student at the Brigham Young university. Lt Jewkes has been on duty in the south Pacific for 20 months and has been on a 30 day leave. He will leave for more overseas duty shortly. Mr & Mrs Bob Jimas of Bingham, are the very proud parents of a baby boy, born this week. .Mrs Jimas is the former Marion Pett, who resided in Midvale some time ago. They have 1 other child, Nicky Florence. Jacqueline Gould and Milton Nickle, both of Union. were married Tuesday in the Salt Lake L D S temple, and a reception was held for them that evening in Union The young couple left Wednesday for the west coast, where Milton will report tor navy orders again. Mrs Ruby Carter and her son, Ronnie Lee, are here from Los Angeles, visiting with Mr & Mrs Lee Anderson, her parents. Petty Officer Roland Miller is spending a 30-day leave with his family. He has been in the New Hebddes Islands for 2 years. and is now going to attend advance navy school at St Louis, Missouri. He is a son of Mr & Mrs E A Miller.
