Cpl & Mrs George H Hemburg are announcing the birth of a 7 pound baby boy, who was born Dec 22. Cpl Hemburg is stationed at Santa Ana, Calif, but arrived home on a furlough just in time for the event. Mrs Hemburg is the former Donna Stuart. The baby will be named George Stuart. Mr & Mrs R R Gilbert have announced the engagement of their daughter, Mary Dean, to Gayle LeRoy Holt, of South Jordan. Gayle is a son of Mr & Mrs LeRoy Holt, and he is serving with the navy at the present time. T-Sgt Al Stuart is now a B-29 engineer serving in the Marianas. Plenty of Parking Space. No Meters. L:t Gene Fox arrived home from Oceanside, Calif, just in time for Christmas. Sgt Merlin Strong arrived home Christmas day on a sick leave after spending 6 months in the William Beaumont hospital at El Paso, Texas. Merlin was seriously burned while serving in England. He was there for 10 months. Mrs Grant Gilbert and son, Jon, are spending a week at the home of Mrs Gilbert's parents, Mr & Mrs S E Huff of Draper. Dr & Mrs Orson Kesler have purchased the Dewey Aspden home on Center street. Mr & Mrs J Hollis Aylett left Saturday for a few days in California. Marine Cpl Jack Gilbert is fully recovered from a skin disease be suf-fered in the South Pacific area. Mrs Myrtle Larson entertained Cpl Ray Brown and Kathleen Jensen surprised everyone with their marriage Thursday morning in the Salt Lake L D S temple. Ray arrived here Wednesday morning from Camp Maxey, Texas, and will leave for Fort Mead, Md, towards the end of the week. Kathleen is the daughter of Mr & Mrs Hans Jensen, and Ray is a son of Mr & Mrs Zack Brown. A reception will be held Saturday night at East Midvale ward.
