Since the staff members reported that a great many questions program were concerning the asked by the people of the state, Director Peterson has released the following questions and answers: Q. Will farmers be permitted to sell some of the meat they butcher? A. Farmers are asked not to slaughter and sell more meat than they did in the same period in 1941. Additional supplies should be sold as live animals so that they will go to packing plants that supPlY meat for our armed forces and our allies. Q. What will be done a,bout this At butchering time situation? farmers have much fresh meat. They can some, but have spareribs, middlings, and other fresh meat in excess of the 21A. pound share. A. Farm families should not allow meat they have butchered to spoil merely to keep within the 2% pound limit in any one period, but should even out their consumption over the year to the 2% pound standard. Q. How will company over week ends be taken care of? A. When people are away from home, they should reduce consumption at home accordingly. Those who entertain guests are expected to increase meat purchase accordingly within the sharing limitations. Q. What will be the result of meat sharing on prices of meatalternatives? A. Meat sharing will naturally increase the demand for meat alternatives, but price ceilings will protect the consumer against increased cost of the substitutes. Swedish Films Shown iD Murray The sponsors of the Swedish films, which have been shown at the Iris Theatre in Murray each month, wish to take the liberty through the columns of this newspaper to ekpress their apologies for the condition of the last film shown there. This film was recommended to us by the film distributors in the east. and we accepted same in good faith, like we had with all other films, and we regret very much that this should happen . And we also take this opportunity to thank you for your splendid support which has made it possible: for us to bring you this entertainment. To many who were born in Sweden it has been a joy to bring bac memories of their native land. and again to hear tln!ir mother tongue, both in words and song, and the beautiful scenes from the land of the midnight sun. We do not know of any people who are better citizens and more loyal to their adopted country than the Scandinavians are, and yet they possess a love and respect for the land where they first learned to walk. The intention of the sponsors, was to discontinue these films for the duration, also on account of gas rationing. But so many Tequests have been made that we continue to show these films once t!fCh month, and if you feel like you are willing to support these shows duJ;ing the coming montll, pl~ drop a penny post card to the Iris Theatre, Murray, Utah. If we continue to show these films, we can assure you that we shall try to obtain the latest and most popular films, as we have PRODUCTS for CIIIIJSTMAS TREES and *FZtm"S BOX cROCOLATa Coal & on State Street • ";. How can we con- HI GO tlnue to neglect the welfare of our souls and the souls of our children when God is so strongly calling upon all men to repent and to worship the Holy Child of Bethlehem? He that is thinking at all in these days must come to the conclusion that before there will ever be peace on earth there must be peace between God and men. And that peace, which passeth all understanding, is possible only through the Prince of Peace, Jesus Christ.
