Services will start at Wight's Fort at 9:30 a. m. and at West Jordan at 10:45 a. m. Organizations participating will include: American Legion, Jordan Post 35, Daughters of Utah Pioneers, Boy Scouts of America. The program will consist of band numbers; male quartett, music; ladies chorus, solo, vocal and instrumental numbers. The memorial address will be delivered by Bishop Joseph Worthlin, of the L. D. WORK INITIATED ON NEW LIBRARY BUILDING HERE A WP A crew began prelim inary work on the county library project on East Center street Monday morning, and at the present time the razing of the old Malstrom home and store building is under· way, preparatory to clearing the site for excavation work. The new county library building will be erected at a cost of over $70,000.00, and is expected to be completed this fall. It will be one of the finest publiq buildings in Salt Lake county, and will serve as library headquarters for the many branch libraries estab~ lished throughout the county. According to Mayor C. J. Welch, member of the library board, the edifice will be constructed of cast stone, a new building material which is handsome in appearance and especially long wearing.
