A tentative list of appointments to various city positions was approved Tuesday night at a meeting of the Midvale City council, Mayor J. Hollis Aylett presiding. The appointments will be confirmed January 3, when the city officers are sworn into office for the term to which they were elected last November. Appointments made at Tuesday's meeting were: City marshal, Roy Steadman; night marshals, Dewey Canning and Lyle Reading; water superintendant, A. A. Larson; road supervisor, L. A. Porter; police judge, Martin Thomas; sexton, Thomas Foreman; electrician, H. J. Grant; dog catcher, Ellis Baker. Offices of plumbing and build· ing inspectors have been combined, and these duties will be performed in the future by the water and road supervisors.
