Another meeting has been set by Mayor J. HL. lis Aylett for May 11, however, at which the final city ordinance will be drawn up. The city licenses approved Tuesday night provide that draft or bottled beer may be sold for consumption on or off the premises for $100 annual fee, and that bottled. beer alone might be sold for consumption on or off the premises for $50 annually. Attempts to boost the fees to $200 and $100, respectively, for the two types of licenses were blocked. The wholesale license was left unchanged at $150. . Licenses will be issued to SIX . ht operators in order that they mlg begin business by May 11, the date on which the new state liquor law turns beer sales over to the municipal authorities. Three de~ ers now operating under state 11cense will be allowed to continue until July 1, when the present licenses expire. PAID YOUR SUBSCRIPTION?
