These data show that it cost 121;2 cents for feed to produce a pound of turkey using a high protein and yellow corn and wheat as the grain base of the mash and grain mixture, where it cost only , 7% cents with a low protein level when wheat and barley were used. The turkeys were weighed, dressed and prepared for market by the students of the poultry department. No lack of growth nor lack of meat seemed to follow the use of home-grown grains a~c 1 this test. The vocabulary has change-d hy the intrusion of loan words from other languages, notably Italian and Turkish, though the infusion has not been so great as to give the language the apperance of a mlxe~ language.
