Santa Claus appeared in person and distributed bags of candy and nuts to all present. Games and dancing were also enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Evans and family, Mr. and Mrs. J. Evans and family of South Jordan, Mr. and Mrs. C. E. Steadman and family, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Price and family met at the home of l!.1r. and Mrs. David R. Evans Christmas day. Dinner was served to 37 guests. Mr. and Mrs. H. Plice of Soldier Summit announce the birth of a son. Mr. anct Mrs. Price were formerly of this ward. Will Wight and Mr. Freeze of Brigham City were guests at the home of Mrs. Lydia Bateman Sunday evening. Mr. and Mrs. Dale Hunsacker and children of Tremonton are guests of Mrs. Hunsacker's parents, Hr. and Mrs. John Yates, during the holidays. Miss LuRee Bateman left for l'viilford New Year's day, after spending two weeks with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. P. T. Bateman. Mr. and Mrs. P. T. Bateman entertained at a family dinner Christmas day. Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Larus Pratt and children of Salt Lake, Mr. and Mrs. Royal Spratling and children. In the evening they entertained the following guests: Mr. and Mrs. Gene Wagstaff and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Bennion and children, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wilson and family. Games and luncheon were enjoyed. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Egbert and family of Garfield visited here last week. Miss Grace Gardner left Tuesday to resume her school duties at Salina after spending two weeks with her ..-.aren~s. Mr. and Mrs. Will Gardner. · Ross Bateman is confined to his home, suffering with a very painful injury.
