RIVERTON MIDVALE SCHOOL NOTES FUNERAL RITES HELD FOR SHIRLEY WINN PLATOON NEWS The geography classes of tbe platoon school have been studytng the capital cities of the United States. In order to make it more interesting, Miss Miller had the pupils write to the Chambers of Commerce of the various cities to obtain information about them. Twenty-six cities have complied with the request and have sent booklets, maps, pictures, etc. Tllis makes the work much more interesting and beneficial to the students. NELDA MARCHANT. We have come back to school after Christmas and New Year's vacation, all ready to study hard. We are going to begin to take cooking in Home Economics now as we took sewing the first two quarters of school. Tuesday, the ninth grade girls were busy washtng and arranging dishes and making everything neat and tidy in the school kitchens. In Algebra classes we are studying factors of square root and in Biology class, we are studying about different foods and the bones of the body.
