Mrs. Glenn W. ·Richards entertained at a party at her home Saturday evening, honoring the fourteenth birthday anniversary of her son Pace. Hallowe'en decorations and favors were used. A two-course luncheon was served, followed by bridge. Those present weer the Misses Elame Joffs, Maxine Charlier, Dorothy Greenwood, Donna Orton, Bernice Jensen, all ot Sandy, and Miss Betty Lou Jensen ol Crescent, and Messrs. Glenn Bird, ;Don Orton, Bruce Peterson, Ronde Burch, Arden Webb and the guest 01 honor, Pace Richards. Mrs. Richards was assisted in serving and entertaining by her sister, Mrs. E. A. Jensen of Crescent. Prizes were won by Maxine Charlier and Glenn Bird. Mrs. Henry Hendrickson entertained at her home last Friday afternoon. Miss Edith Winkler left Wednesday of last week for California, where she is visiting with relatives. Cleon and Don Tolman of Salt Lake spent the week-end the guests of their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Boulter. Mr. and Mrs. Brigham Smith and children of Woods cross visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Bert Boulter. Mrs. Lula Miller and children, of Eureka, are visiting a the home of Mrs. Miller's parents, Mr. and Mrs. James D. Rawson. The Misses Rachel and Emeline Grant returned home Monday, after visiting at the home of their brother Mr. and Mrs. Carter S. Grant of Lyman, Wyo. Elder Lowell J. Van Dam, son of Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Van Dam, left Thursday for the Netherlands mission field. A dinner was given by the Ladies' Aid society of the Congregational church, in the church parlors Tuesday evening. Mrs. L. L. Raddon entertained the N. B. club at her home on First West street last Thursday evening. Five hundred was played and prizes won by Mrs. Reg White, Mrs. Nephi M. Larson, Mrs. A. Stuart and Mrs. Ture Peterson. Luncheon was served on small tables following the game to Mrs. White, Mrs. Larson, Mrs. Stuart, Mrs. Ture Peterson, Mrs. Arthur E . Peterson, Mrs. Francis A. Orton, Mrs. W. 0. Boberg, Mrs. G. D. Charlier, Mrs. B. A. Adamson, Mrs. Arthur Hughes, Mrs. L. C. Mitchell, Mrs. H. 0. Hendrickson, Mrs. Eric Anderson, Mrs. Henry Hendrickson, Mrs. T. E. Sore:t;~son and her sister, Miss Olive Edmunds of Chicago, were guests of Mrs. D. G. Edmunds, Saturday, at a bridge luncheon and programe given by the Ladies' Literary club in Salt Lake. Miss Beatrice Brown, Miss Evelyn Brown, Miss Geneal Brown, Miss Lucile, Tuttle, Mrs. Luella Voorhees and Miss Lorna Voorhees, all of Manti, visited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Woodhouse during last week. Mrs. L. W. Sorenson and Miss Olive Edmunds went to Salt Lake, Sunday, where Miss Edmunds was initiated into the Phi Mu sorority. Mrs. Sorenson is also a member of this same society. Bryon Ord of Baker, Ore., spent last week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Ord, at their home on State street. He left for Oregon on Sunday. Temple service day for the East Jordan stake will be Friday, October 23. Mr. and Mrs. J. S. H. Bodell and daughters, Fern and Farrell, visited Tuesday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. T. Ostler. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Fotheringham and daughter Larry, and Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Thompson and daughter, Beth, were guests at the home of Mrs. S. N. Smith in Draper Tuesday evening at a party given in honor of Mrs. Ruby Atwood, who is visiting here from Los Angeles, Calif. • •,• ., none! Jensen and their house guests, Mr. and Mrs. ~ay Whiting and two daughters of Idaho. Covers were ,laid for twelve. The Trail Builder boys of .the Primary enjoyed their annual treasure hunt in Butterfield canyon Friday under the leadership of their guardian Mrs. Spencer Miller. Many things of interest were collected and luncheon was enjoyed by Leon Christensen, Stanley Freeman, Darrel Forman, Jefferson and Rex Butterfield, Loran and Douglas Miller, Herbert Butterfield, John and Claude Christensen, Reid Butterfield, Leo Eastman and Clark Bigler. Mrs. Spencer Miller entertained a number of friends at her home Wednesday evening. Music and games wen! enjoyed. A late luncheon was served to about forty. Miss · Mildred Butterfield entertained at : a candy party at her home Thursday evening. Her guests numbered twelve. Mrs. Olive Miller sepnt last week visiting her daughter, Mrs. Heber S.
