Joseph flarence Robbins, age 13, was killed by lighting Saturday, August 4th at 5:15 p. m. on the Smart ranch. He was born in Indianapolis, Ind., on April 8th, 1915, the son of Chester ]!'. and Agnes M. Robbins. His father died when he was two and one-half years old, when his grandmother, Mrs. E. 0. Robbins took him and has given him a mother's care ever since. His mother and sister live in Indianapolis. He is also survived by his grandmother, Mrs. E. 0. Robbins, one uncle, Clarence W. Robbins; ope aunt, Mrs. Ella Shay; and three cousins, Margie, Eileen and Clarence Shay of Sandy and two uncles, Harrison H. and Thomas N. Robbins of Peoria, Ill. Joseph united with the First M. E. Church in Salt Lake City and was also a member of the Junior Epworth League of that church. He was ready for the second year of Junior High school and planned to attend at Sandy. !!'oseph was musically inclined, having played the saxaphone in two different orchestras when ths family lived in ~It Lake City.
