Isler, Clerk. • SANDY CiTY Mrs. Duane Richards, Correspondent Mrs. Eric Anderson entertained thf N. B. Club at her home on State St Friday evening. Progressive game: were played and prizes won by Mrs. C. S. Anderson and Mrs. F. C. Davies. Luncheon was served on small tallies to sixteen. Special guests were Mrs. A. Larson of Salt Lake and Mrs. C. S. Anderson. Mrs. Jessie Clyde entertained in honor of her daughter, Eliza, Saturday evening it being her birthday anniversary. Dancing and music were enjoyed and refreshments served. Friday afternoon of last week the Ladies Aid Society entertained in the church parlors honoring Mrs. D. H. Stuart, who will leave soon for Idaho to make her home. Luncheon was ser ved. Miss Leola Hand was the honor guest at a party given by Mrs. Harold Bishop and Mrs. La Mar Hughy at the home of Mrs. Bishop in Salt Lake Wednesday evening. Mrs. A. Stuart and her daughter, Mrs. J. E. Case, who is visiting here, visited relatives at Bingham the past week. Mrs. Hilda Nelson entertained the Pep Club at her home on Main Street Sewing was the afternoons patime and luncheon was served to twelve. Miss Bertha Smith of Draper and Mr. Fred Powell of Sandy, Utah, were married at the home of Mr. John Matson's Wednesday evening. A reception was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson's in Murray the same evening. Mr. and Mrs. Powell will make their in Sandy. A number of friends of Mrs. L. E. Peterson met at her home on Second South Street Fariday afternoon. Game were played and refreshments served. Monday evening the Senior Girls of the 2nd ward Mutual entertained at the home of Miss Helen White in honor of their mothers. Games were pl~;y ad and prizes given to Mrs. Wm. Hug nes and Miss Eva Crapo. Luncheon was served to Mrs. Jessie Clyde, Mrs. Maud Vincent, Mrs. Wm. Hughes, Mrs. Reg. White, Mrs. Hilda Nelson, Mrs. N. Monahan, Mrs. C. C. Crapo, Mrs. C. C. Jensen, and the M. I. A. Presidency, Mr.s. Cleo Jen>;en, Miss Pearl Wilson and Miss Alpha Crapo. Sixteen enjoyed the affair. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Sorenson are rejoicing over the arrival of a ba;by boy born May 4th. All concerned are doing nicely. . Mrs. J. L. Tolman is visiting wtth friends at Salt Lake. Mr. and Mrs. R. E. Perry and the children of Mammoth and Mrs. Roy Laver and children of Pleasant Grove, were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Richards Sunday. . Mr. and Mrs. Bonard Coal of Bmgham and Mrs. Ray Heck, of Salt Lake, were guests of Mrs. J. H. Butterwood Friday of last week. Mr. and Mrs. J. L. Tolman were the week end guests of Mr. and Mrs. 0. P. C. Kuphaldt, of Lark, who died Friday at San Francisco, while visiting her daughters, Mrs. Annie McKim ·and Mr::;. Stella Johnson. Mrs. Kuphaldt was born in Sweden in 1861 and came to Utah in 1881. Last November she went to California because of ill health. Besides her daughters and husband, surviving are three sons, William E. and Roy Kuphaldt, of Lark; and Harold E. Kuphaldt, of Salt Lake.
