"America's Space Power" Synopsis: This videotape focuses on the historical development and military contributions of America's military space systems. It further explores the value of space power as applied to joint operations, encapsulated in space's contributions to the 1991 conflict in the Gulf, and addresses some possible space alternatives for future conflicts. This is the final installment in a seven part video series. "International Law: Law of Armed Conflict" Synopsis: This newly produced video includes film footage from Operation Desert Storm that provides instruction on the Laws of Armed Conflict. It covers "Combined Federal Campaign: Proof" B Offices moving The Business Development Office and Strategic Development Division of the Plans and Programs Directorate have moved into Bldg. 1216 during remodeling of Bldg. 1102. The only office left in Bldg. 1102 is the Video Teleconference Center. Other offices, including the Ogden ALC Command Section, Senior Enlisted Advisor, Public Affairs and XP have moved to Bldg. 1289. The cost is $12 per person and the menu is fried chicken with all the trimmings, served from p.m. There will be a casino room, free western dance lessons (both 6:30-7:3- 0 line and couples dancing) , "Cow Pie" toss, an auction and a DJ. "Air Force Television News" (Oct. 5 edition) Synopsis: An Air Force that is short on retention, short on money, short on an inventory and short on readiness is the focus of the latest edition of Air Force Television News. In comments before the Air Force Association convention, top leaders voiced their concern that a lack of money and an expanding mission is having a dramatic effect on the men and women in blue. The number two man in the Defense Department, as well as the Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force, echoed those sentiments. In other stories, the program looks at a successful move toward outsourcing at Tyndall Air Force Base, Fla.; spends the night with a police officer in Albuquerque, N.M., who is also a member of the state's Air National Guard; and returns to Grand Forks, N.D., to find out how Air Force families there are bouncing back after the worst flooding in the area in half a millennium. Their program includes the best of music, choreography and personal testimony. The group is also performing at the Thornton Community Center at 7 p.m., for all single airmen and family members on base. The event begins at 6 p.m., with free burgers and hot dogs and all the trimmings. Numerous popular Christian artists have begun their career in this group. For more details, call Ext. Family members and military retirees will receive their shots at the Base Theater, Oct 28-37:30 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. The shots are mandatory for military personnel except those who are allergic to eggs or chickens.
