LAMONT ERICSON, M.D. Though he can rightfully claim the status of Native Northern Utahn, . having been born in Ogden, Dr. Ericson has lived in many parts of the U.S., Europe, and the Orient. As a military dependent, he lived and studied in Europe; in 1982 he accepted a Presidential Scholarship to Brigham Young University; and he fulfilled a LDS mission in Osaka, Japan. Dr. Ericson graduated from the University of Utah School of Medicine in 1992 and undertook a combined OphthalmologyInternal Medicine Internship at the UofU Hospitals. In July of 1993 he began surgical training at the University of California-Sa- n Diego Department of Ophthalmology and, in June of 1995, became the University's Chief Resident. Realizing he "preferred the smell of g stoves and the sight of Aspen leaves in the canyons," Dr. Ericson accepted the invitation to return to Utah to work with the Mountain View Eye Center and Davis Hospital and ' Medical Center. ; wood-burnin- For the practice of Ophthalmology In his leisure time, Dr. Ericson enjoys a diversity of outdoor sports including alpine skiing, backpacking, tennis, scuba, kayacking, and photography.
