The Small Business office at Hill AFB recently received the Secretary of the Air Force award for Small and Disadvantaged outstanding achievement. The award, which the Hill office has received numerous times, is given to Small Business Officthroughout the Air Force that achieveuccess in meeting assigned command goals and for exemplary support of the small busi- ness community. For instance, ML Computer Technologies, an engineering services contractor, received orders totaling $783,000; and Modern Technologies Corp., a telecommunication and computer support contractor, received a five-yecontract for $7.4 million. Smaller awards went to Beltran Corral & Fencing. Bennion. and Inc., Sandy. Overall, Utah contractors received ar $77,408,136. Bradbury said the award reflects not only the work of his staff, but the entire center. "We received the award because the center, from the commander on down, continuously steps up to the challenge to support small businesses," he said. "The award is especially due to the excellent cooperation we get from the product centers around the base in support of the congressional initiatives that drive the Small Business Program." Bradbury said. "In fact, with the excellent support we receive from the center for this program, we are probably one of the best programs in the Air Force." |
