And with the warm weather comes the return to outdoors for sun and fun. Base fire department officials would like to remind d everyone of safety tips that should go with activities to keep summer fun for everyone involved. Too often, accidents occur during the summer that could have been prevented by taking safety precautions before a problem occurs. Always be aware of other people in the area who don't consider safety. Below are some of the most common pitfalls associated with summer fun: B Alcohol People who drink too many alcoholic beverages not only sacrifice their safety, but the safety of those around them. Most prudent people know that mixing alcohol with driving, boating, swimming and many other forms of summer enjoyment can end in tragedy. Alcohol-relate- d mishaps are responsible for many fatalities every summer. However, the serious consequences relating to this problem still don't seem to be enough to get through to some people. Those unfortunate enough to be near those involved in this , type of behavior need to be aware and protect them- -" ' selves from needless mishaps. Be sure to use a barbecue away B Barbecuing from the house or other combustibles. Dispose of charcoal briquettes by soaking with water. Also, use only approved combustible liquids, not gasoline, for starting barbecues. B Campfires Only build campfires in approved locations and never build a bigger fire than needed. Make sure campfires are out. m hand-in-han- r 4 S . s.V If This practice is strictly for- water crafts in the area. These are a just a few areas of concern during this bidden on base. There are many causes but one of the most common is the misalignment of the small neck bones, putting pressure on nerves and blood vessels that result in headache pain.
