After the presentation there will be a guided tour open to high school and junior high school students, parents and educators. The tour is of the 419th Tactical Fighter Wing, with a look at an 6 Fighting A group of people from the 388th Fighter Wing will deploy to the Middle East Friday to replace wing members who have been in the region since December 1991. ft The majority of people are from the 34th Fighter Squadron, augmented by additional support workers from all the wing's six squadrons. Unit members will fly to the Middle East on board a civilian DC-1contract aircraft. and support equipment which went to the Middle East in December will remain at the airbase. No additional from the unit will be sent. The unit will operate from an airbase near Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, and will become part of a composite wing already in place. The length of the deployment is expected to last three to four months. The deployment commander will be Lt. Col. Linn "Chip" Wilde, 34th FS operations officer. Returning members are scheduled to arrive at Hill AFB sometime after March 19, pending availability of airlift. ill F-1- Falcon aircraft. Entrance to the base will be through the South Gate.
