You are right Air Force Regulation 0 does not define fast-foo- d restaurants. Each base has its own policy on BDUfatigue wear when it comes to visiting eating establishments. The policy at Hill AFB is as follows: Fast-foo-d restaurants are defined as not having waiters or waitresses. A fast-foorestaurant has a counter where you order, pay and pick up your food. If you go to a counter and order your meal, pay for it, and then sit down to wait for a waitress to bring you your meal, then you are at a restaurant and you are not authorized to be there in your BDUs or fatigues. You may, however, order meals to go at any restaurant as long as you do not dine at that establishment in your BDUs or fatigues. In the past, these problems have been mechanical alignment of the shafts, rapid wearout of the motor bearing, installation of the unit in the site, rapid thermodynamics of the assembly, bell housing repair, and shaft repair. These problems are in the mechanical arena, and it should be noted that electrical problems have not occurred. A complete review of hardware assignments was made in 1987 and again in 1990, in order to determine the most appropriate IOD assignment of all ICBM hardware and equipment. It is true that the personnel working the motor generator modifications and replacement are also assigned other hardware which will be within the ground 'mechanical unit and this factor was considered as a part of the IOD decision process.
