Ire-enlistmen- Air Force people deployed to Operation Desert Shield for 60 continuous days can receive a special leave accrual of up to 90 days at the end of the fiscal year. Unit commanders can process group requests through parent major commands to AFMPC. People who are not deployed for a continuous 60 days, or who are assigned to support units or headquarters and have had leave canceled because of Operation Desert Shield, may apply for a correction of their military records.
