I finally procured one-ha-lf dozen bottles of your Golden Medical Discovery and one dozen Sage's Catarrh Remedy and commenced their use. At first I was badly discouraged, but after taking four bottles of the Discovery I be gan to improve, and when' I bad taken the reraalulng I was u cIL In addition to the use of the Discovery applied a solution of Iodine to the Cloltre or thick neck, as you ad-vin pamphlet wrapping, and it our Discoventirely disappeared. ery is certainly the most wonderful blood medicine ever invented. I thank God and you. from the depths of my heart for the great good it has done me. Yery gratefully, Mrs. L. Chaffee. Most medicines which are advertised as blood purifiers and liver medicines contain either mercury, In some form, or potassium and iodine variously combined. All of these agents have to break down the blood corpuscles, aud debilitate and otherwise permanently Injure the human system, aud should therefore be discarded. Dr. Pierce's Golden Medical Discovery, on the other hand, being composed of the fluid extracts of native plants, barks and roots, will in no case produce injury. its effects being strengthening and curative only. Harsaparilla, which used to enjoy quite a reputation as a blood purifier, is a remedy of thirty years ago, and may well give place as it is doing, to the more positive and valuable alteratives vegetable which latter medical ivestlgatlon and discovery have brought to light. The foot prints were seen on the soil outside the window this morn ing. Cause of the Accident on the 0 P. R. There was a rumor on the street that tbe accident on the Central Pacific Railroad yester day was due indirectly to the crowded state of the road in send ing forward freight that was de layed bythe recent blockade; and directly to the fact that the train starter had, been at work almost continuously for several dava. and uninterruptedly for seventeen hours, and that under the influence of intense fatigue a mistake in starting tothe train was made, and that led the collision. It is also said that Mr. Fell, the train starter In question, has been In the service of the company ten years, and never made a mistake before, and it Is tolerably safe to presume that he would not have done so now had he not been completely wearied and worn out by long protracted exertion. About two o'clock this morning a couple of hor-- e thieves were disturbed in an attempt to steal the animals from the stable of the. Street Railroad 'Company, 9th Ward.
