GOLDEN At the request of President Evans of the Chamber of Commerce the committee on manufactories of the Chamber held a meeting yesterday to consider the iron worka problem, and if possible to EAGLE formulate a plan of action. After careful consideration the following address was adopted and ordered published. It is to be hoped that the suggestions herein contained will meet with a ready response: To Miner aso Mine Owneks: At a meeting of the committee on manufactories it was agreed that for the purpose of finding out the truth of the resources of Ogden in iron ore, and for the development of the iron industry, it was advisable to call on all persons owning or claiming mines or prospects of hematite or specular ore to send to the secretary of the Chamber of Commerce or to D. D. Jones, K. C. Lundy or 11. L. Griffin, the following information and samples properly labelled and signed: Sample of the ore sacked and labelled, of not less that fifty pounds for determinations. Description of the mine or claim, stating the extent of vein. Statement of the expense of mining and hauling either to Ogden or to the railroad. Whether the owner of claims is willing to put his property into a stock company, incorporated at an agreed price or not. In the realization that the mines are useless withont development this is done in the interest of the uiining and manufacturing interests of Ogden by the committee on manufactures and by the mine owners responding may help them to realize the development of their property by putting in a shape for capitalists to invest in. All mines will be inspected that offer a prospect of success, and the beet selected to form a company. Committee on manufactures: D. D. Jones, chairman; R. C. Lundy, II. L. Griffin.
